Are Soft Shiny Slippers Safe to Health

Soft materials are comfortable to wear but how safe are those? A toxic chemical called phthalates is used to soften plastics. When it exceeded at certain amount it can cause illness, such as cancer, etc. I have three brands of sandals that are placed into comparison. Please take note that some information you will read are based on my personal observation and Not on scientific method especially on World Balance Slippers.
World Balance Slippers

World Balance slippers are so soft, thick, shiny and durable, as shown in blue ones. What made me disgusted is its offensive odor which is similar to the odor of a transparent plastic cover which is used to cover books, notebooks, etc. Department of Health had warned the public to refrain using these plastics because they contained high amount of phthalates. I hope that my apprehension may not be true with these slippers since skin contact happens most of the time with them.
Ipanema Slippers

Another soft, shiny and durable slippers are named IPANEMA, in red ones as shown. It has similar softness but less shiny than World Balance slippers. The difference is the Ipanema emit a favorable scent though still tinged with the odor of a rubber or maybe plastic. I hope that the phthalates if used in this product is not covered with a nice smell. The price is unreasonably high. I would rather buy one sack of rice than these Ipanema slippers. I have seen fake Ipanema slippers and their price is cheap. Original ones cost 1,495 pesos.

Islander slippers are my favorite. Obviously these are made of rubber which made No Apprehension for me about the use of phthalates. They are soft and durable too and in a good reasonable price. I have no picture for Islander slippers because there were none available in the store at this time. Instead I bought a cheap white rubber slippers with least print or design so to avoid lead content if ever used.
