The Use of Program Timer
One of the causes of fire is the unattended running electrical fan, especially if the thermal fuse fail to cut itself at certain degree of heat. It is better to choose an electric fan with a timer so to automatically stop itself in case you sleep or your forget to turn it off. This is the common human mistake. If in case you do not have one you can buy a device that has the same function like the program timer. In fact you can use it in almost all of the home appliances because it has a high tolerance or ampere so to accomodate heavy or high-watt appliances. It accomodates at the maximum of 3,500 watts which is high enough. This is also good for electric iron which is sometimes left turned on when get busy.

One of the contents of radio or tv news regarding the causes of fire are a rechargeable flashlight, cellphone chargers; even if it is original from a well known company. Devices which are said to be in "high quality standard," sometimes malfunction especially when abused and used for long extended hours. So the best thing is to have a preventive device such as program timer gadget.
Actually you can reuse the timer of your electric fan that bid goodbye. I have two electric fans that did not function because of burned copper wire. So I took the timer-devices out and made boxes to house them in respectively. The timers are durable and they still function without fail for almost 16 years already. Just be sure to use it with an appliance that matched to its prescribed tolerance or watts. If you do otherwise, it will get burned itself.
